Company History

CWC Architectural Woodworking, Inc. began in 1979 as Colonial Wood Craft, Inc, a manufacturer of solid wood furniture and accessories that were sold to furniture stores from Maine to Virginia to Ohio. In 1988 Colonial Wood Craft moved into a 12,000 SF factory space in Bristol, CT continuing to sell it’s product line to furniture stores and producing high end custom furniture, kitchens, wall units, etc for the residential market.
Then In 1990 Colonial Wood Craft changed its name to CWC Architectural Woodworking, Inc. CWC continued to handle the residential market and started to move into the commercial market where it has since remained. Over the past several years CWC has expanded to 16,000 SF, added new machinery, engineering CAD software and accounting and project management software to better serve its customers in this time of fast track jobs.
Today CWC projects consist of high end office fit outs, health care, educational and store fixtures. Over the years CWC has gained a reputation for quality products and on time installation.

Meet the Family

CWC is a family owned and operated business. Started by Bruce Schultz in 1979 he ran the business successfully until his passing in 2013. Since then his wife Janet and oldest son Todd (middle) have continued to grow and expand the business carrying out his legacy. His youngest son Corey (right) still assists the business with there technology needs.
